Itinerary / Tour Plan
SHORT ITINERARY:
Day 1 : Reporting at Rumsu base camp. Acclimatization walk and Adventure Activity(Rock Climbing and Rappelling). Orientation for the trek in evening.
Day 2 : Drive to Khanol and trek to Chikka campsite.
Day 3: Trek to Seri. Overnight stay in tents at Seri camp site.
Day 4: Trek to Deo Tibba base.Overnight stay at Tenta.
Day 5: Exploring chota-Chandrataal and stay at Tenta.
Day 6 : Trek back to Chikka.
Day 7 :From Chikka to Khanol and back to Manali.
DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 1:Reporting at Rumsu base camp. Acclimatization walk and Adventure Activity(Rock Climbing and Rappelling).
Orientation for the trek in evening.
All the participants will report at Rumsu base camp by 8 AM. Freshening up and breakfast will happen at the base camp. Post breakfast all the participants will undergo registration process.Â
Lunch at 1 PM. Post lunch adventure activity (Rappelling/Rock Climbing). Once the activity gets over, we will go for an acclimatization walk. Evening snacks at 5 PM. Post snacks orientation for the trek will be covered. Orientation will cover all the general instructions that could be helpful for the trek like back packing, marching technique and medical awareness. Overnight stay at Rumsu base camp.
Day 2: Rumsu to Chikka
After morning breakfast we will start with a jeep ride to khanol village, the starting point of the trek .A lot of wild berries are spotted along the trekking route. It takes 6 to 7 hours to reach Chikka campsite. A water stream flows from Chikka which takes a shape of a snake. A shiv temple which is naturally formed, camping and littering is strictly prohibited near the temple. Participants will camp overnight at Chikka.
Day 3: Chikka to Seri
After morning breakfast we will start our trek to Seri. Initial patch of the trek is through the jungle and takes around six to seven hours to reach. Seri is a long spread of green meadows almost the size of three to four football ground put together. A beautiful waterfall is witnessed followed by different tributaries. Seri was once a glaciated lake but now it’s a vast spread of green meadow. Overnight camping at Seri.
Day 4: Seri to Deo Tibba Base to Tents.
Trek commences after at nearly breakfast by 6 AM. The route goes through rivers, and has a steep climb. It takes three hours to reach Tenta. A clear view of Deo Tibba peak and Indrasan peak is visible from Tents and then another three to fours hours trek to reach Deo Tibba base camp, where nature promises a fascinating view to all the trekkers. We start our trek back to the camp at Tenta. Overnight stay at Tents.
Day 5: Exploring chota-Chandrataal and Stay at Tenta.
It will take around 4 hours to reach mini lake known as chota Chandrataal . After exploring and finishing our packed lunch we will head back again to Tenta.Overnight stay at Tents.
Day 6 : Trek back to Chikka
We will descend to Chikka which is 11km from Tenta. The descend is easy and will take around 4-5 hours. Participants can enjoy bonfire being last day of the trek. Overnight stay at Chikka.
Day 7: Descend to Jagatsukh and departure to Manali
We will start our descend from Chikka. We will take the same route to descend to Jagatsukh. Jeep Ride to Manali.Departure from Manali by 5 PM.
