(Kaziranga Wildlife Exploration)

Discover the enchanting beauty of Assam with this three-day trip. The lush green surroundings, gurgling rivers and majestic mountains add a charm of its own to this beautiful place. Visit Kaziranga National Park and spot one-horned rhinoceros, tigers, elephants and bears. Enjoy visiting Tea Garden and the nearby local villages. Interact with the locals to know more about the culture and traditions followed here. Sample the delicious food served at the local food stalls and revel in its awesome taste.

Itinerary / Tour Plan

Day 1 : Arrival Guwahati, Transfer to Kaziranga

Pick-up by Car from Guwahati Airport / Railway Station and transfer to Kaziranga National Park, the home of the One Horned Rhinoceros. Check in at Hotel. Experience the rural lifestyle. Enjoy the evening with snacks and tribal dance (Bihu). Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 2 : Elephant / Jeep Safari @ Kaziranga National Park

Start the day at 5:30 am with 1hr Elephant Safari in Kaziranga National Park(Depends on Availability – Optional). Return to hotel for breakfast. Have Your Lunch at 1 pm. Afterwards, enjoy Jeep Safari in Kaziranga from 2:30 pm. 

You can view One-Horned Indian Rhino, Asian Elephant, Wild Asian Water Buffalo, Eastern Swamp Deer, Capped Langur, Golden Langur, Hoolock Gibbon (the only ape found in India). In the evening, enjoy the bonfire with evening snacks. Overnight stay at hotel/Resort.

Day 3 : Free for River Cruise / Birding / Tea Garden Visit

The Morning is free for your leisure activities. You can opt for a Brahmaputra River Cruise (Supplement Cost – INR 6500) or you can go for Birding (Supplement Cost – INR 5000). After lunch you will be taken for a guided tour to a tea-garden where you can see how tea is manufactured and processed. You can also taste freshly processed tea. Return to the resort. Enjoy the evening snacks. Tribal dance in the form of Jhumur can be arranged for you (Supplement Cost – INR 2500). Overnight at the resort.

Day 4 : Guwahati – Return transfer

Another Leisure Morning in the natural surroundings. After breakfast drive to Guwahati. On arrival transfer to the airport / railway station for onward connection.

Good team, but all of them are too lenient on late comers….we had a great time, but were late by 4 hours at starting point itself and that resulted in our trek to Triund to start late afternoon instead of morning. Otherwise, very friendly n cooperative team and fun to travel with. Packages are quite competitively priced. All the best, will definitely join TDG for another trip in near future.

About the place

Kaziranga, Assam, India

The Kaziranga National Park in Assam is most famously known to people for its successful efforts to save the One-Horned Indian Rhinoceros from the brink of extinction, with the Park nowadays being home to nearly two-thirds of One-Horned Indian Rhinos in the world. Apart from the Rhinos, the wildlife at Kaziranga is extremely diversified. The wildlife includes Asian elephants, wild water buffalo, various species of deer, Pallas’s fish eagle, and big cats like tigers and leopards. For the tourists’ accommodation at Kaziranga, the National Park has four tourist lodges at Kohora, and 3 tourist lodges outside the Park. You can go on elephant tours, or jeep tours, to see the beautiful wildlife of this wonderful wildlife sanctuary.
