The Thamsar Pass trek will take to you the mesmerizing landscape at the height of 15000 Feet. The pass is blessed to have a romantic appeal that will make you fall in love with mountains.
The trail passes through the villages of Barot, Badagran and Rajgundha, you will witness the flavour of traditional Himachali culture. The landscapes comprises of 2 beautiful lakes on either side of the pass, Pir Panjals, 3 sister peaks above Panhartoo, lush green meadows with fabulous yellow flowers and a few waterfalls. Many streams rising on slopes of the Bara Bhanghal Range join here here to form the Ravi River.
Itinerary / Tour Plan
Day 1 – Arrival in Barot and Badagran
The Barot Valley is perfect place for camping and it sets as a basecamp for Thamsar Pass Trek. The green valley with UHL and  breath-taking views of the hills surrounded by will surely enrich your camping experience. The small wooden housing on the step farms of the hills adds the beauty to the landscape.Â
@12pm – Today, you will enjoy light adventure activities such as rock climbing and village walks. They you can rest in your tents, the trans music in the evening will add the excitement.
@7pm – With bonfire, music, food and conversations you will have the best start for the tour. Later you can choose to star gaze outside under the beautiful night sky.Â

This trek is of moderate ascent, crossing villages of Plachak, Guhardi and a beautiful scenic waterfall to the base of Thamsar Pass over beautiful green meadows below the tree line.

Day 4 – Panhartu-Thamsar Pass-Panhartu (4665Â mts)Â
Today we will cross over Thamsar pass (4665 meters of 15000 Feet). This trek is weary and it involves climbing. You will see the great grand Thamsar glaciers with a small glacial lake can be seen on this trek. The pass is surrounded by snow and pass also shares two different valleys (Kangra & Ravi valley). From on top of Thamsar, you will get your first glimpse of the lush Kangra valley. Descend back to our base camp at Panhartu.

We retrace our steps back via same route to Plachak. This quick descend will take you back to the Rajgundha village and here we are going to stay and camp overnight.

We take the scenic leisure walk from Rajgundha to Billing the next day through beautiful forests of Oak, Rhododendrons and Pine. We come across beautiful scenic vistas as layers and layers of mountains greet us from a distance. There are breath-taking views of the valley as we able to see Billing, Bir and the entire Kangra Valley up from a distance.
The views are breath-taking and worth appreciating as well as taking pictures. In Billing, enjoy a maggi or bread omlette or take a shot at paragliding from World’s second highest paragliding site at 2400 meters as you jump down nearly 1000 meters to the landing site at Bir at 1500 meters. Alternatively, our cabs will take you to Bir, where you enjoy delicious Tibetan and Indian Food and do some shopping or collect souvenirs.
After Lunch at Bir, we will visit the famous Sherabling Monastery in Bhattu and then Baijyanath Temple of Lord Shiva, which is said to be one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, where demon King Ravana offered his 10 heads to the mighty Lord. Head back to Palampur, where if time allows we will enjoy a walk among the famous tea gardens and some snacking along the banks of Neugal River, before catching our overnight bus to Delhi with unforgettable memories.
