Iruppu Falls at Coorg

Iruppu Falls

This falls lies on border of wayanad coorg districts border and can be visted on the way to coorg form wayanad. Entry fee or ₹50 for each person. A short trek into the forest of about 0.75Km to reach the fall point. On the way we can see the stream of the waterfalls. At the top the waterfalls will be ice cold and there is a pool adjacent to it. The place is great for natural enthusiastic and photo freaks.

Namdroling Monastery at Coorg

Namdroling Monastery

The Namdroling Nyingmapa Monastery (or Thekchog Namdrol Shedrub Dargye Ling) is the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. Namdroling Monastery hosts several ceremonies yearly. Of particular interest is Tibetan New Year (Losar), based on the Lunar Calendar; usually occurring in the months of February or March. The monastery hosts traditional Lama Dances, oversize Thankga hanging from the sides of its buildings, as well as solemn processions throughout the monastery grounds spanning approximately two weeks.

Abbey Falls at Coorg

Abbey Falls

Abbey Falls (also spelled Abbi Falls and Abbe Falls). The river is part of the early reaches of the river Kaveri. Flow is much higher during the monsoon season. The waterfall is located between private coffee plantations with stocky coffee bushes and spice estates with trees entwined with pepper vines. A hanging bridge constructed just opposite the falls. There is a Kali Mata temple on one side of the bridge.
