The Gurudwara Bangla Sahib in Delhi is one of the prime places of worship for the Sikh. The 8th Sikh guru, Guru Har Kishan Singh is said to have cured people infected with smallpox and cholera, with giving them water from a tank. That tank still exists today inside the premises of the gurudwara.

Originally a bungalow owned by Raja Jai Singh, this place of worship attracts thousands of visitors today. According to the protocols of the gurudwara, an individual’s hair must be covered and he must be shoeless. There are people who assist tourists with head scarves. Proper toilet and parking facilities are available. This place looks art its absolute best at night, when brilliant lighting illuminates the structure of the gurudwara.
