Banasur ka Kila is situated at an elevation of 1,859 m and is believed to be constructed during the Medieval Age. The inhabitants believe that this fort was built after Banasur, the eldest son of King Bali, who was assassinated at this site. Lohawati River also originates from this site which is located alongside the Bhowali Road. This fort is 20 km from Champawat and around 7 km from Lohaghat.
