"A world fame heritage fortress. Magnificent giant appearance. A fort which was always under Hindu Dynasty. A never conquered fort which has stood tall for more than 570 years depicts the greatness of Marwar Dynasty with its great appearance. A Maa Kaali temple inside the fort, at the most peculiar peak point, gives the never ending strength to this fort for it to stay Unconquerable. A museum, restaurant, snacks bar and many other places to visit inside this fortress. There are many amazing & interesting facts about this fortress and city to revealed during the visit. It is surrounded by citizens of suncity, as it is a well protected gem. At the height of this fortress, a great view of the entire city mesmerizes visitors. "

"As it is not specified on the website, you must pay 600 as a foreigner with an audio guide but you need to provide either an ID or 2000 rupees/ 40 💷💶💴💵 to be able to have it. We did not have any of those but still paid the same price. Our second issue was that half of the rooms were closed, no entry or without light (turban room) so again paid full price but for half of the experience. The guys at the entrance felt powerful and asked us to go back to our hotel (what can we possibly do stealing an audio guide?!?!?) to pick up money knowing we came to the fort under 45degrees walking. The only thing that improved our experience is the local people visiting the place and the view of the blue city."

"The museum in the Mehrangarh fort is one of the most well-stocked museums in Rajasthan. In one section of the fort museum there is a selection of old royal palanquins, including the elaborate domed gilt Mahadol palanquin which was won in a battle from the Governor of Gujarat in 1730. The museum exhibits the heritage of the Rathores in arms, costumes, paintings and decorated period rooms."

"Its a good historic place to visit and see. High walls, old customs and traditional stuff is kept in museums. But dont expect much as most of the areas and places are restricted and locked. If u r a student , carry yr id card to get a ticket for only 40 bucks. Normal charhes are - Rs. 70 "
