                        “I can honestly say this was the worst animal park I have ever visited. It felt more like a concentration camp for the poor animals. The animals are kept in small concrete/metal cages – tigers seen chewing on cables that they had pulled into there cage. The elephants looked to be an awful state, uncared for and mistreated. It broke my heart to see animals treated in this manor, and made me feel ashamed to be a human being, unable to help these beautiful creature’s. Don’t go, don’t support this awful side of tourism in thailand. Don’t give your money to see animals mistreated….”

                        “look, im not an activist. im pretty “bro” by most standards. but this was fucked. the elephants stand chained in their own filth. the noises they make are awful. tourists show up like “wow elephants.” and take selfies. i just couldent. the waterfall is not worth it. seriously. some folks swimming, but there were bags of chips floating in the water. im not just exaggerating out of spite here. this is honest. please, do not come here.”

                        “The elephants that are not walking have one leg chained to the ground so they cannot take a single step. They were shaking their heads from side to side continuously in obvious distress. The elephants who could move seemed just as miserable. Please do not support this abusive business. The tour also included trained (chained) monkeys. They’re leads were longer then the elephant’s but only a few feet. One monkey runs up a tree and twists off coconuts. As we were leaving, we saw the guy hoisting the same coconuts back up. As far as I could, the monkeys live on a 5 foot teather. I regret having supported either of these activities.”

                        “Signposting in Koh Samui isn’t that clear so look out for the small side roads that don’t look as if they go anywhere – they do we found out. All a bit tatty. Avoided the caged tigers. It really is a steep hot climb to Waterfall 2 – be warned. Fed the elephants one of which flocked sand at me until I fed it!”
