Sang-e-Safed or ‘White Rocks’ is located at a distance of 10 km from the Yusmarg Valley. Sang-e-Safed is an oval-shaped meadow bisected by a Doodh Ganga stream. The site is visited for its various meadows which are also beautiful picnic spots. One can visit the valley by undertaking a trek through a trekking route. Valley serves as base for Mount Tatta Kutti and is abound by dense pine trees. Enroute, there are many meadows like Lidder Mar, where one can have a night’s halt. Mornings and evenings are very refreshing here. Another enchanting meadow in the area is Hegin, 4 kms from Yusmarg. Surrounded by dense pine trees, the place is a famous picnic spot. Hegin (4 km from Yusmarg) and Lidder Mar meadows are neighboring places of tourist interest.

A serene meadow located in Yousmarg, Tosa Maidan is not only famous as a lush green pasture but for its historical importance as well. Bounded by dense forests, the beautiful ground of Tosa Maidan is situated about 10km from Khag in the mountains of the Himalayan range. This destination brings forth a wonderful amalgamation of nature with history. You’ll reach the attractive grazing land of Tosa Maidan after crossing the upper mountain reaches of Drang, Zakhor and other small villages. It is believed that the huge pastures located here are the ones which the shepherds from the neighboring countries used to visit in the ancient times. Another piece of history related to this place, which is quite fascinating, is that the land was given to the army in the year 1964 to set-up an artillery firing range for a period of 50 years, until 2014.

Nilnag is a beautiful lake located 4 km downhill from Yusmarg. The water of the lake is blue in colour and thus, the lake is named as Nilnag. The lake is connected to the passage, passing through the dense forests. The site is a beautiful picnic spot and a trek of 13 km uphill leads to various beautiful tourist spots. Nilnag Lake, is cradled by hills.
