Rajaji National Park is situated along the hills and foothills of Shiwalik ranges in the Himalayan foothills and represent the Shiwalik eco-system. Combining three sanctuaries, namely Chilla, Motichur and Rajaji - Rajaji National Park is spread over the Pauri Garwal, Dehradun and Saharanpur districts of Uttarakhand. The Motichur and Rajaji sanctuaries are contiguous, and are separated from the Chilla Sanctuary to the south-east by the Ganges River and the Chilla River.

Guchhupani is one of the names of Robber's cave, situated at the distance of 8 km from the city center. It is 600 meters long cave having small river inside it. The place is quiet near to the Tapkeshwar temple. You will have the most fun filled cave experience. Walking by the icy cold river, is quite exciting and adventurous thing to do. You will get to see varied species of birds here too.

It is well known institute in the field of forestry, which is being run by Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education. It was established in 1906 and chosen deemed university by the UGC. It has also museum on forestry that is open from 9:30am to 5:00pm.

Mindrolling Monastery was built as an attempt to re-establish the seat of His Holiness Dalai Lama who was in exile. One can see water trickling on the Shivlinga, owing to which the temple has been christened Tapkeshwar. The Tapkeshwar Mahadev temple is an age-old temple and has a rustic charm to it. The river adds to the beauty of the temple. This pretty cave temple located in the cantonment area of Garhi in the heart of the city is a very sacred and revered temple, which attracts thousands of tourists and devotees. The unique structural design of the temple is very appealing to the eyes. An interesting story revolves around the existence of this temple.

Shastradhara, which means, the 'thousand springs' is one of the best picnic spots. It is a eye pleasing waterfall of 9 meters, that attracts the tourists. Place has also Sulphur spring famous for its medicinal value, it is believed that it cares skin disease.

The Chetwoode Hall adjoins the Indian Military Academy and is home to the Indian army's modern artilleries and sophisticated ammunitions along with a wide range of artifacts that detail the splendor of the Indian Armed Forces.

Clock Tower is a landmark and a major attractive place in Dehradun city. Also called as Ghanta Ghar locally, it is located centrally and encircled by commercial centres like GPO, Shops, six face Clock Tower with a clock in each face, this monument stands much before independence.
