"Good for kids. Only one bird in the aviary , lots of rabbits n geese but they could be cleaner. The swings are not very safe for the kids otherwise lots of slides , see saws , jungle gym etc. enjoyed the journey..."

Other exciting places to visit in Siliguri
Salugara Monastery is among the most frequented revered places, located in the outskirts of Siliguri. Located 6 km from the city, the Buddhist shrine is visited by tourists for meditation. The ideal tranquil location for meditation was established by Tibetan monks and followers of religious leader, His Holiness Dalai Lama. One of the highlighting features of this monastery is the 100 ft stupa, which is believed to be founded by the Tibetan Lama, Kalu Rinpoche. This stupa is revered by the monks as it brings out five kinds of relics of Buddhism. The object of idolisation is believed to bring salvation to those who sight it.
Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary
Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India. It comes under Darjeeling Wildlife division and can be reached from Siliguri in 30 minutes. Sukna, the gateway to the sanctuary, is only 13 km from Siliguri. The variation in altitude and forest types helps the existence of a large number of species of mammals, birds and reptiles. The important mammalian species include royal Bengal tiger, Indian elephants, Indian bison, chital (spotted deer), barking deer, sambar, rhesus monkey, many species of lesser cat like fishing cat and jungle cat, Himalayan black bear, leopard including clouded leopard, and many other smaller animals like rare mountain goat (serow), porcupines, snakes, etc. The sanctuary also holds hundreds of feathered species.
It's a beautiful and peaceful place. One should attended the evening aarati and it surely be a pleasant experience. The decoration of Radha Krishna inside the Satsang hall is very enchanting. A must visit place if you are in Siliguri.

The North Bengal Science Centre, is an educational park, located at Matigara, just a bit outskirt of the town Siliguri. There is a big model of Dinosaurs at the entrance of Science Centre. There are a lot of simple gadgets and equipments which makes learning fun and explains the basic principle involved. It is related with everyday life science.
The Coronation Bridge across the Teetsa river is over 100 years old and marks the start of the road to Butan from Siliguri. The river canyon is a beautiful and fascinating drive. But the road is quite narrow and there is heavy and impatient traffic so it is not the road for the faint of heart. We were very grateful...
