The 800 years old palace was once a royal residential place for the Kuthar rulers. Though some parts of this palace are recent that is not more than a century old though the actual fort once built by Gurkha rulers has lasted an eternally long age. The place is at an hour distance from Jabbar Hatti Airport in Shimla and spreads over an exceptionally large area. Entrance fee for an adult is Rs. 10 for children is Rs. 5 and for foreigners it’s Rs. 100. The photography charges are additional. The Medicine Mountains monastery as the name suggest is one of the oldest monasteries in India. The village is surrounded by deodar forests and equipped with the rich fauna. Located at an elevation of 6000ft the Solan brewery is one of the oldest in our country. It was established long back before independence by an Englishmen Edward Dyer and then was known as the Dyer Brewery. It has now been converted into a distillery and is under the Mohan Meakin now called the Mohan Meakin brewery. The brewery is near the Solan railway station and is the world’s highest brewery.
