70 km from Solan is this small village in the hills of Silmaur whose lush green view would create a euphoric moment in your life. The village is surrounded by deodar forests and equipped with the rich fauna. Peacocks, Deer, Tiger, Bears, Kakkar, Kastura, Ghol are a few animal species spotted in the thick deodar forests of the area.
The village is easily accessible through buses and cabs from Solan and if you are driving from Delhi you may encounter the smell of pines lined alongside the road and even try your hand at fishing. The place is full of medicinal plants, small waterfalls, wildflowers and the contentment of being at peace is abundant. If you visit this place you would love to spend a night at the forest rest houses; the habban log hut or the new forest rest house booked by DFO, Rajgarh. If you are blessed you can watch snowfall that occasionally adores the small town in pearl white. The most exciting thing is trekking trips to Banalidhar or Churdhar trails 7 and 15 km from the village respectively.
