Patna Museum, unarguably is one of the well-maintained museums in the country which connects the glorious past with the modern age. Set up in the center of the city, the museum building houses splendid and the large collection of artifacts of the periods belonging to Mauryan, Gupta, Sunga, Kushan, Mughals and British era. The museum boasts of few collection which is unmatched elsewhere.

The most attractive items are the long fossil of a tree, Yakshini, polished stone Mauryan statue. There is also a good collection of Tibetian literature & paintings.
One can find here numerous Buddha statues, many of them bronze, belonging to different periods. This museum is worth a visiting.
